NPC’s New Enivation Brand for EPA Members

Enivation, a new branded service of NPC, Inc., provides a scanning and archiving solution for the challenge of electronically storing older physical publications online and sharing them worldwide. Enivation’s scan • archive • host • search solution gives organizations a way to tackle these challenges.

Who can benefit from this new service?

• Organizations that have been storing high volumes of past publications or documents in a basement or warehouse with the possibility of damage from wear and tear, water, fire, etc.

• Businesses that have a need for more and more warehouse space, and are concerned about the growing cost of that space.

• Groups who want to share physical copies of books, magazines, journals, periodicals, manuals, newspapers or any other hard copy publications online.

How does it work?

Enivation takes older, sensitive publications or documents and handles them with care in a secure area of NPC’s secure facility. The comprehensive scanning solution uses a book scanner with a v-shaped base to help preserve the physical integrity of older, delicate publications. This process puts less stress on the binding of the books.

And if clients want to share their digital library with organization members or customers, Enivation’s fast, accurate and user-friendly search interface allows for online access with hosting solutions to help clients find exactly what they’re looking for.

“It’s like having your very own personalized search engine,” said Jamie Eichenlaub, NPC’s Digital Media Specialist. “Because it’s online, the digital library is available to any one of your members, anywhere in the world at anytime to search historical information about your organization.”

Enivation is a viable solution for all different types of clients who have a variety of scanning and archiving needs, including: scholarly publishers (scientific, medical and educational), fraternities and sororities, religious groups, non-profit associations (all industries), historical societies, colleges and universities, and federal, state and local governments.

“There’s no need to worry — we’ll take care of everything,” added Eichenlaub. “If this type of project has been on your to-do list for awhile but you’re not sure how to get started or don’t have the manpower or technology resources, we can help. We’ll work with you to create a solution that fits the needs of your organization.”

Enivation’s solution also includes Digital Publication services, which enhance the customer experience by offering an interactive alternative to viewing books and publications. Enivation’s digital publication creation services help bring clients’ publications to life with real page-turning features and complete text-searchable pages.

The NPC Difference (www.npcweb.com)

Enivation’s solution is backed by the experience and expertise of NPC, Inc., a third-generation, family-owned business rooted in central Pennsylvania and a leader in providing print and electronic document solutions to both commercial and government customers since 1954. Some of NPC’s services include: Printing and Mailing; Warehousing, Fulfillment and Kitting; Electronic Document Management and Composition; and email marketing and eDelivery.

And NPC’s mission of providing the opportunity for self-reliant individuals to improve their quality and standard of living has helped the company to continue to grow its diverse workforce to nearly 500 employees. NPC also has been named one of the Best Places to Work in PA for the last four years.

For several decades, NPC has ranked among the top suppliers of print and electronic document related services to the Federal Government, including first on the list in 2011 for the fifth time in the last seven years, also taking the top spot in 2005, 2006, 2009 and 2010. This continues its long-standing tradition of delivering value-added products and services to the U.S. Federal Government.

NPC has sufficient financial strength for client investment, yet it’s small enough to personally reach out to customers 1 on 1. While there’s no way to predict what NPC will be producing 5 or 10 years into the future, it will continue to develop innovative solutions for all customers. This is NPC’s heritage. This is NPC’s goal.
