The annual EPA convention returns to the East Coast in 2016. The convention will take place in the heart of America’s oldest inland city at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square and Lancaster County Convention Center, which is connected to the hotel.
Directly across Penn Square from the old Central Market, the center city hotel is surrounded by scores of eclectic eateries, boutique craft and antique shops, art galleries and museums. Take a delightful stroll through beautiful streets and byways of a modern city steeped in the history and traditions of nearly 300 years of America’s colorful past.
Just outside the city find rolling hills of picturesque farmland dotted with horse-drawn plows. Slow down for Amish buggies as you travel through rural villages with names like Bird-in-Hand, Smoketown and Paradise. Find out for yourself if there really is an Amish Mafia.
The EPA 2016 planning committee is co-chaired by Leah Pickard and Lauren Farr-Miller of ABWE’s Message magazine. They are busy at work now planning a terrific program.
If you've never attended an EPA convention, take a look at the official 2015 convention program for our most recent convention in Westminster, Colorado. It will give you a good idea of what to expect.
Then look for new information about the 2016 convention later this year. There will be a lot of what you expect, but plan to go “beyond the expected.”
