The Herzog Foundation to Sponsor 2027 Cause of the Year: Education

The Herzog Foundation has signed on as the corporate sponsor of EPA’s 2027 Cause of the Year: Education.

To encourage publications to tackle certain important subjects, EPA’s annual contest features a Cause of the Year. The Board of Directors chooses a specific topic and presents awards for the best material published on that subject during that year.

During 2027, publications are asked to address the subject of Education. The parameters are purposefully very broad and can incorporate either Christian or secular education topics. Any article that touches on this theme will be eligible for the 2028 contest, along with a related photo or illustration.

The Stanley M. Herzog Charitable Foundation’s mission is to catalyze and accelerate the development of quality Christ-centered K-12 education so that families and culture flourish. The foundation seeks to identify areas of growth and gaps in the Christian education space to catalyze effective, scalable programs nationwide. Their mission is lived out by providing programs such as online content, up-to-date news, training and events, grants, and hands-on organizational improvement initiatives.

As part of its mission, the Herzog Foundation publishes the digital news platform, The Lion, a member of EPA since 2021.
